Exact costs Specific posted prices for a defined service at a named clinic. Most reliable when the clinic has claimed its profile on FareVet. If a price was updated by our team, rare errors are possible. Please confirm with the clinic.

Starting cost The minimum price a clinic lists for a service. Final cost may increase with case complexity, for example added diagnostics, anesthesia time, or medications.

Average costs A typical price for a service at a clinic. If the clinic posts a range, for example 100 to 200, we show the midpoint, 150. If the clinic provides a typical price, we show that value.

Estimated costs A price range when an exact price is not available. Sources include a clinic provided estimate or a de identified user vet bill for a similar service. Estimates consider factors like pet size and complexity. Final cost may vary after an exam.

Accuracy note We update cost information daily, errors can occur. Always verify pricing with the clinic before treatment.

Simply go to the search page, enable your geolocation or enter the location in the search bar. Use the filter menu on the side of the page to choose the type of service you need, and you can also enter your pet’s weight if relevant. FareVet will then provide a list of nearby veterinary clinics, along with their prices for the specific services you're looking for. You can also filter by price instead of distance.

Yes! FareVet allows you to easily book appointments with veterinarians directly through the app. Premium users can also access priority booking with top-rated veterinarians​.

Yes! FareVet allows users to read and share reviews of veterinary clinics and services, helping you make more informed decisions​.

FareVet is the only platform that focuses specifically on providing transparent, real-time veterinary pricing, ensuring that pet owners are informed about the cost of care upfront. Our goal is to make veterinary care affordable, accessible, and transparent​​.

Due to current laws in the US and Canada, our veterinarians cannot prescribe medications during telehealth consultations. Prescription laws vary by state and province, and without a physical examination, veterinarians are unable to legally issue prescriptions in a virtual setting.

That said, our vets are here to offer expert advice, help assess your pet’s condition, and guide you on what to do next, whether it involves an in-person visit or other steps to ensure your pet receives the best care possible.

To cancel your membership, follow these steps:

1. Open the FareVet app.

2. Tap the Menu button in the upper left corner.

3. Go to the Your Plans page and select Premium Plan.

4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Downgrade Subscription, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cancellation.
