FareVet Terms of Use
Effective date: October 30, 2025
These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between FareVet Inc. ("FareVet", "we", "us") and you. By accessing or using our websites, apps, or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use FareVet.

1. What FareVet is
FareVet is a comparison and discovery platform for veterinary services. We display clinic information, indicative prices, rankings, reviews, and AI‑assisted cost estimates. FareVet is not a veterinary clinic and does not provide veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for diagnosis or treatment.
2. Who can use FareVet
You must be at least 16 to use FareVet. If you are in Québec and under 14, a parent or guardian must give consent as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Communications and marketing consent
We send transactional emails, for example account notices or receipts. We send marketing emails only with required consent and include unsubscribe links. If you sign up for SMS in the future, you agree that messages may be sent by automated means, that consent is not a condition of purchase, and that you can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Subscriptions, credits, auto‑renewal, and cancellation
-
Where you manage subscriptions: if you purchased via the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must manage and cancel through the same store. FareVet cannot cancel on your behalf.
-
Apple App Store: iOS Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions, or Apple’s subscription management page. Apple controls renewals, billing cycles, and refunds for App Store purchases.
-
Google Play: Google Play app, Account, Payments and subscriptions, or play.google.com. Google controls renewals, billing cycles, and refunds for Google Play purchases.
-
Auto renewal: monthly and annual subscriptions renew until you cancel. Credit packs do not auto renew.
-
Disclosures and reminders: we display price, term, renewal frequency, and how to cancel before purchase. Renewal reminders or additional disclosures are provided where required by local law. Refund eligibility follows the rules of the store used for the purchase.
6. Prices, rankings, and sponsored content
Displayed prices, estimates, and rankings are informational. They may be provided by clinics, derived from user submissions, or generated by AI using available data. Prices change and may differ at the clinic. We may receive compensation for sponsored listings or affiliate links. Sponsored content is labeled and may affect ordering.
7. Clinic accounts and obligations
If you are a clinic: you represent that information you provide is accurate and lawful to publish, including logos and images. You will promptly update material changes. You are responsible for your interactions with users and for compliance with professional and advertising rules. You will not submit content that misleads about price, availability, or scope of services.
8. User content and community rules
You may upload reviews, images, and comments to public areas. You may upload invoices and medical documents to private areas visible only to you and FareVet admins for verification and product improvement. Do not upload unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing material, or personal information of others without consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts for violations. You retain ownership of your content. You grant FareVet a non‑exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute your public content solely to operate and improve FareVet. Private uploads that include personal or medical information are handled according to our Privacy Policy.
9. Copyright complaints and repeat infringers
If you believe content on FareVet infringes your rights, send a notice to our Copyright Agent with all required details. We respond to valid notices and may remove content or suspend accounts. We process counter‑notices as required and terminate repeat infringers.

10. Intellectual property and license
FareVet and its licensors own the platform, software, and Site Materials. You receive a limited, revocable, personal, non‑commercial license to use FareVet. Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or misuse FareVet.
11. AI features, estimates, and medical disclaimer
AI features may suggest services and indicative costs based on your inputs, location radius, and budget. AI outputs may be incomplete or wrong. They are for information only and are not veterinary, medical, legal, or financial advice. Decisions about care should be made with a licensed veterinarian.
12. Prohibited uses
Do not: break the law, interfere with security, attempt to access accounts without permission, upload malware, scrape or harvest data, or use FareVet to advertise illegal or unsafe services.
13. Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If you face barriers, contact accessibility@farevet.com.
14. Changes to the service and to these Terms
We may change features or these Terms. When required by law, we will provide clear notice. Continued use means you accept the changes. If you do not agree, stop using FareVet.
15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
FareVet is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. To the extent permitted by law, FareVet’s total liability for any claim related to the service in the past 12 months is limited to the greater of 100 dollars or the amount you paid us for the service at issue. This section does not limit liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, and does not limit rights that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold FareVet and our officers, directors, and employees harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of FareVet, or your violation of these Terms.
